Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception as early in the day as possible.

All requests for home visits are assessed in advance by a Doctor to ensure that patients with most urgent need are seen as early as possible however if after discussion your condition is not felt to require a home visit you may be asked to attend the surgery.

Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls. The receptionist may also ask for details to pass to the doctor, she has been asked to do this to ensure we have enough information to assess your request with the degree of urgency required.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a Health Visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
